There is a crisis brewing among US companies. The average business owner has 90 % of her net worth tied up in the business. This puts many at financial risk. With so many baby boomers getting ready to retire, half of all businesses will change ownership in the next 5-10 years. Yet, most business owners have no exit strategy. Peter Christman is the original exit planning coach. The founder of the Christman Group and co-founder of The Exit Institute, Christman says financial advisors need to get these boomers ready to sell or move on.

MARK ROSSNEY/OPERATION PATRIOT

Saturday January 5, 2013, a walk at the Mall at Greece Ridge will benefit the West Webster Fire Department. On Christmas Eve, a man started a fire in his home and called for help. When the firefighters arrived, the man opened fire, killing two of the Webster firefighters and seriously wounding two others. The community is honoring these heroes through events like this walk, organized by Operation Patriot. Mark Rossney founded OP days after September 11 2001. As he shares with Diana and Bruce, Mark has helped raise thousands of dollars by organizing events for first responder agencies, homeless veterans, and service men and women in need.
