French Wine Society Webinar: "1855: A History of the Bordeaux Classification" March 15th - Dewey Markham, Jr.
Dewey Markham, Jr., author of the James Beard Award-winning book 1855: A History of the Bordeaux Classification, will explain what makes the Classification unique to Bordeaux, why some areas such as Saint-Emilion and Pomerol were not included, and how it influences--and how it does not--the character of the wines we enjoy today. The 1855 Classification is a cornerstone for understanding Bordeaux and its wines. The webinar is free to all registered participants in the eight month French Wine Scholar e-learning program and available for $30 for FWS Members and $40 for non-members each. The webinar will be hosted from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. E.S.T. Wine and Dine listeners will receive a 10% discount to the French Wine Scholar Online Program by registering online with coupon code H1RR4G.
