02 Idaho excels in exceptional Rhone red and white varietal wines - Moya Shatz
Moya Shatz has been living and working as the Executive Director of the Idaho Grape Growers & Wine Producers Commission based out of Caldwell for under one year. In that time period, the state has witnessed eight new wineries opening their doors. Despite the slump in the economy, Idaho grape growing and winemaking are on a positive surge with 40 wineries and an additional 20 vineyards devoted exclusively to growing grapes. Most grapes come from the Snake River Valley, an American Viticultural Appellation of roughly 8,000 square miles. Find links to all wineries and travel referrals.
