First and foremost, this site salutes a
great football rivalry, as Navy honors the tradition, values and ideals that the
University of Notre Dame represents.
This site also pays tribute to another great Naval victory from a 2009 Navy Squad of football players. This includes their
remarkable head coach, his staff and the Brigade of
Midshipman. When I went to school at the greatest
institution the world has ever known, during lop sided defeats and last minute
heart breaks, losing to Notre Dame, we heard why do you play Notre Dame
anyway? On Nov 7th, we proved it again. That college
football players, who play for their country instead of NFL contracts, that maybe
smaller and slower, deserve to be on the same field. This was also demonstrated in the first
game of the year against Ohio State. Thank
you Navy Football for another great game. Despite our current problems, the country is in good hands. Semper Fidelis, Captain Chris Murch, USMC, '83. For my 83 classmates, this was the 83rd meeting between Navy and Notre Dame

If you missed the game
yesterday...
Navy played a near perfect game, the coach made a critical
successful challenge, it was a total team effort and Navy took advantage of the
breaks that came their way.
Also a gutsy game by Notre Dame's quarterback, but hats off to Navy.
Final Score Navy
23, Irish 21

Nov, 3, 2007 - It’s over. After 44 years and three overtimes.
Navy finally beat Notre Dame 46-44 in triple overtime, ending the Fighting Irish’s NCAA-record winning streak against the Midshipmen at 43 games.
