wsRadio General Overview

The wsRadio Networks has significant Internet reach through two major sources:

I - Web Site (We own over 300 web sites)

Our main web site is wsRadio.com, however we have many other sites that send traffic directly to a domain name that forwards to a wsRadio show or promotes a wsRadio offering or sponsor/advertiser. We deploy a number of proven Internet Marketing strategies to drive traffic to these sites which include email marketing, (we have developed over 90 targeted email lists), search engine submission, podcasting, blogs, and sites that directly link to wsRadio. Currently over 80,000 web sites link to wsRadio. (Source - Ranking.com). Visibility in the search engines is one of our major strategies. As an example if you were to Google one of our most popular shows by putting quotes around "eBay Radio" you would see over 295,000 page hits with the main wsRadio eBay Radio show page is listed number one on the Google search. The Alexa Rating of all of our sites combined is approximately 2500. More specific Stats below.

II - Online Listeners - We have over 20,000 archived shows

The other major reach we have dominated in is through our audio distribution. Our 30 and 60 second commercials initially broadcast live and then remain in both our audio archives and podcasts. All shows we produce remain archived for at least 12 months, but many remain archived longer as long as they continue to receive listeners. These audios have their own unique audio URLs which means they have their own web addresses with key words embedded as part of the description for the search engines to find. We only count a listener if they have logged on an listened for 4 minutes or longer. Currently we have over 22,800 archived shows which exceed 3 million listeners per month. These are the numbers we can count. Cacheing on major servers, downloading of mp3 files that are shared by others or burned onto cds and hosting of our audio files on other servers are not able to be counted.

General Demographics of our Audience

Through a number of online surveys to a wide range of shows, we are able to determine our general demographics as:

  • On average, our listeners are more affluent, and more educated than other users of the Internet.
    • Balance of men and women listeners (58%/42%)
    • Balance of 18-34 year olds (22%), 35-54 year olds (73%) and (5%) over 55 years
    • Over a third of our visitors have a HHI of over $100,000 (36%)
    • Over half of our audience (59%) are college graduates
  • WsRadio listeners are much more likely to be employed, white-collar workers..
    • 71% of listeners own their home
    • 90% are employed and over 60% have executive or professional occupations
  • WsRadio listeners continue to spend twice as much time online as other Internet users.
    • On average, our audience spends over 20 hours a week online
    • Over 75% of our audience has high-speed access at home, and 68% at work
  • WsRadio attracts a highly coveted audience , affluent and well-educated adults that visit our network frequently.
  • About one fourth of our audience visits our site at least 2 times a week

  • WsRadio.com has grown to over 125 Live and on demand shows. They include business, self improvement, political, hobby, health, and special interest shows. With the exception of a few "sold out" shows, we control at least 50 percent of the commercials that play in all of our shows. In addition, We are opening up local stations in local markets as well. We are also excited to add "Teenage" demographics as we launch our Teen Network in April, 2009.

wsRadio overview of Internet Talk Radio

Internet Talk Radio is simply Talk Radio distributed via the internet. A worldwide audience is available. As the Internet and Wi-Fi technology, in particular, continues to expand... so does Internet Radio.

Worldwide coverage allows programming to be highly focused, which delivers precisely targeted advertising opportunities at low cost.

Internet radio is interactive, with the listeners referring to Web sites while listening. In-studio emails augment traditional call ins.

Archived shows allow for listening on demand. This is one of the biggest advantages of wsRadio! Our log files show that for every listener to the live show, another nine to ten listeners access the archive files. Commercials stay in the archives for 12 months or longer.

Traffic to Internet Radio increased by 29 percent over the past year (January 09)

85.5 million unique visitors logged onto Internet Radio in February 2009.

  • For Talk Only Radio Networks, wsRadio claims the number one position.

    Based on a recent survey published on IMedia Connection, with wsRadio's new distribution partners, wsRadio would be ranked in the Top Ten Overall for all Internet Radio Stations which include heavy music listening.
  • Persons aged 35 to 44 are 22 percent more likely than the average internet user to visit Radio sites. Persons in the 18 to 34 and 45 to 54 age ranges are 12 percent more likely than average to visit these sites.

    Internet Radio listeners that fall into the "working age" (18 to 54), are most likely to listen during the work day.
  • The study found that U.S. internet users are 27 percent more likely to visit Radio sites during the workday, and eight percent more likely to do so during the early morning hours.
