This week we visit the Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York to the world-class La Tourelle Resort & Spa. We touch on the Resort’s 54 unique guest rooms which feature spectacular views of the surrounding countryside also the August Moon Spa where you’ll find a blending of traditional Eastern therapies with modern Western knowledge and technologies. The spa is a fusion where East meets West. We also cover some amazing activities when visiting the area…such as The Grape Tour, The Theatre Lovers Experience, Art Lover’s Weekend, Take-a-Hike, and The Big Chill Weekend.
With eleven lakes in the area – as you might imagine fishing is a great activity around those parts. So we decided to visit with resident fishing expert/guide - John Gaulke of Finger Lakes Angling Zone for the best bets on places to go to catch the big one.
Great activities like wine tours, romantic spa getaways, outdoor adventures and ideas on regional festivals and events are easy to come by when you have a 9,000 square-mile region to choose from. The Finger Lakes region includes 14 counties of Cayuga, Chemung, Cortland, Livingston, Monroe, Onondaga, Ontario, Schuyler, Seneca, Steuben, Tioga, Tompkins, Wayne & Yates. During this segment we visit with Stacy London - co-host of What Not To Wear on TLC. Stacy lends her expertise on dressing age appropiately and holiday do’s and don’t’s. We also visit with always entertaining Tom Bergeron - host of the hit television show Dancing With Stars to talk about his book - I’m hosting As Fast As I Can. During the segment we also get a great recipe from “Our Man About Food” Chef Michael.
