When it comes to beachcombing destinations nobody does it better than the Oregon Coast. On the show today we’ll do our best to try to capture some its beauty radio style. We kick things off with Rebecca Lutz for a full coastal overview - starting in the town of Astoria. The Road Trip continues along the Oregon Coast. During this segment we share a great website for finding out fun and unusual trivia about Oregon. It is also an excellent source for travel & entertainment on the upper half of the Oregon Coast - for beaches, lodging, vacation rentals, maps, dining, travel news, events, families/kids, entertainment, wine, real estate, hotels, pets and timeshares.
Next we travel further south where action packed adventures take center stage. We visit the Coos Bay, North Bend, Charleston area which is a popular destination for all sorts of world class sporting opportunities from fishing, hiking trails, bird watching and the beauty of the gardens at Shore Acres to exploring the Oregon Sand Dunes. For more southern exposure we head down the road a piece to Gold Beach to visit Jerry’s Rogue Jets, the first company in America to offer Rogue River Jet Boat trips. A congratulations is in order…they are celebrating their 50th year anniversary!
