Looking for someone on your side, to answer questions and provide fun, useful, interesting tips and information about digital photography and all aspects of using pictures with computers? Tune into The Photo Gurus.

The aim of The Photo Gurus is to have you, personally, discover at least one new interesting, cool idea, during each show, that you can use to get better photos, operate your camera more effectively and creatively, produce better prints, or whatever it is you want to do with your photos - while having lots of fun in the process. Since this show is for you, we invite you to send in your questions or share your photography tips via email to PhotoGurus@DigitalBenchmarks.com. Daniel and Sally will select a few questions for each show, and if they don't have the answers, they'll ask other experts. About the Hosts:
Photo Gurus Daniel Grotta and Sally Wiener Grotta are widely respected photography and imaging experts. Known for their down-to-earth, easy-to understand approach to fun, creative photography, picture editing, scanning, printing and other imaging issues, the Grottas are the authors of numerous books, including "PC Magazine Digital SLR Photography Solutions" (John Wiley) and "Shooting for Dollars: Simple Photo Techniques for Greater eBay Profits" (Peachpit Press). They have written many hundreds of articles and reviews on digital photography, photo editing and imaging for a wide variety of major magazines, including "PC Magazine," where they were that magazine's resident experts on computer graphics and photography for more than 10 years. Highly popular speakers, the Grottas have given lectures and seminars around the continent, and have appeared on various TV and radio shows. Daniel is the president of DigitalBenchmarks, widely recognized as a premier independent digital camera and imaging test lab. Sally (pixels.smugmug.com) is a professional photographer and digital artist. And, yes, they are a married couple.

Some of the products they discussed included:

* The numerous new products promising to eliminate the common rats nest of wires, including wireless recharging and USB connectivity.

Sally and Daniel’s tip of the month involved using Nik Software’s Silver FX Pro in a Photoshop luminance layer to improve details in color and B&W images.
