Down under was almost down and out for some of our segments today, but StarXcelAustralias first test run wasnt really all that far off. Joel Harrison made it on before Guest Host Dominique Donovan, so we had several opportunities to listen to Joels 2 Wrongs (or Two WrongsJoels still a bit up in the air on that one). Well, 2, or Twoits a great song, and Jeff, Joel, and Dominique (when Skype allows) discuss a bit of the song writing behind it. We haven't given up on the island of Australia; Joel will be back!

Actually, Georgia came in during the first segment and the Skype gods were generous with Georgia, giving her a steady connection, for which Jeff was eternally grateful. Yellow Shoes is one of those songs full of imagery and glimpses into the human condition. Listen as Georgia describes it, and see if you dont find yourself immersed in the story and lyrics. Dominique is still on and off a bit, so Jeff calls on Georgia to pinch hit through the rest of the show and talk Australian with the rest of the guests. Thank you, Georgia!

KRITICAL is already one of StarXcels favorite artistseveryone loves KRITICALs sophisticated wrap and Denzel Washington looks. Jeff expects KRITICAL to make the leap to the big screendid you know Will Smith was DJ Jazzy Jeff before he was Will Smith (publicly at least) and went broke? Think KRITICAL will bypass the going broke part. More with Georgia in this segment, too, and weve got an APB (all points bulletin) out for Damian Rogers!

Damians Borderline is a great songJeff had visions of John Denver walking in the Rockies (Damian said he wrote and recorded it in London. .. . .). We played parts of Borderline throughout the show, expecting to transition smoothly to Damian who was strong and steady on the Skype line---until Jeff asked his signature question Damian, are you there? He wasnt in segments 1, 2, or 3, but we finally hooked up with Damian in the kitchen of his hotel where the conversation went on about Borderline to the beat of pots and pans! StarXcel is a unique venue, broadcasting live around the world on the Internetwell have more kitchen broadcasts. Its what the show is all aboutTalent without Borders; sometimes even without rooms. . .
