Deb Evans President & CEO of COMPUTER EXPLORERS with Neil Borman, Master Licensee COMPUTER EXPLORERS Australia, and Nigel Topolis, Master Licensee COMPUTER EXPLORERS United Kingdom!
Global franchising is the subject, with both Neil and Nigel providing insight into the migration of American concepts into the worldwide franchise marketplace. Niel owns the rights to Australia and New Zealand, while Nigel is developing England, Ireland and Scotland. COMPUTER EXPLORERS is the quintessential template for transmitting an organization’s vision and culture around the world with high caliber partners and seasoned professionals like Neil and Nigel. The international discussion is greatly enhanced by the fact that Nigel is a former Chair of the BFA—the British Franchise Association. His commentary on such issues as government policy, financing, and linkage with academia are thoughtful additions to the show and much appreciated. http://www.COMPUTEREXPLORERS.com
Bridget Sutton of BAJA SOL RESTAURANT GROUP Live from an Airport Somewhere in the Midwest!
Ok—don’t give up on this segment when you hear the announcements for the boarding of Flight 123 to Indianapolis and the arrival of Flight 456 from Abilene. It’s noisy at first, but Bridget Sutton is a tremendous guest, and we go from micro to macro with discussions about the positive sales comps achieved by BAJA SOL for 2008 and 2009 YTD, and then into an assessment of the national economy—reality vs. MSNBC! We even dial back into Bridget’s experience as a lobbyist in Washington DC and her work with Non-Profits. It’s an entry-level course with this accomplished franchising executive, and Bridget will join us again on-air and co-author with Jeff an article on Allbuisiness.com expanding on some of the topics discussed during the show. Thank you, Bridget—looking forward to your relationship with TFS!

JoelCoolCycles of COOLCYCLESICECREAM—How Fun is This!
Joel Semanko is in great humor and has it done cold with one of the ‘fun’ist’ concepts going—the neighbor ice cream man! So how does it work? Well, anyone over 30 (40?) remembers the excitement of hearing the ice cream jingles emanating from the white ice cream truck driving up to a gaggle of kids with nickels and dimes in hand followed by excited moms and dads who are not only the back-up bankers, but probably secret customers themselves who are inwardly as excited as their kids. Retro is a big theme, and COOLCYCLESICECREAM drives right down the center lane. Bravo, Joel—looking forward to our next visit!
