Listen to Jeff & Gini as they talk about painting their houses (Gini only paints her nails) with Ralph E. Martin, Fresh Coat Painters. Ralph has been the President and a Member of the Board of Directors of Fresh Coat since the organization began in early 2005. Since then, Fresh Coat has grown to nearly 70 markets across North America, with more than 60 new franchise owners and employees having completed training in 2008 alone. Prior to joining Fresh Coat, Martin spent 16 years as a Vice President for Delta Connection, a subsidiary of Delta Airlines, and is a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, where he served as a Search and Rescue Flight Engineer. Ever try to find a reliable painter? Fresh Coat may be your choice! (Gini has someone to do this)

Guest: Ralph Martin, President

Jeff & Gini are always talking about food, this time with Jim Amos of Tasti D-Lite. Jim Amos has been a prominent leader in franchising for more than 30 years. As CEO of Mail Boxes Etc. from 1996 to 2003, Amos led the company through a period of unprecedented growth as it increased in size from 2,500 to more than 4,000 franchises in more than 40 countries. As CEO of Brice Foods, a franchisor of multiple food and beverage concepts, he led the growth of the company’s “I Can’t Believe It’s Yogurt!” concept to more than 1,300 locations domestically and internationally. Jim discusses the product--healthy for us baby boomers--and his franchising mode, which includes single-unit operators as well as multi-unit and area developers. Jeff invites Jim back on the show to talk about global franchising on one of The Franchise Show's upcoming international shows. Guest: Jim Amos, CEO of Tasti D-Lite
Jeff & Gini yakked it up with David Timlin and Samantha Benson of Yakety Yak Wireless. David has served as chief executive officer for Yakety Yak since February of 2007, and in January of 2009, bought the company. During his tenure, the company has received recognition as one the “Fast 55” franchises by Franchise Times, one of the top 500 franchises in Entrepreneur magazine’s annual “Franchise 500” list, and one of the fastest-growing private companies in Orange County, California by the Orange County Business Journal. Telecommunications is another area where Gini has someone else do it (sensing a theme here?), while Jeff cheerfully admits he knows only the function of the Send button on his 5-year-old free Samsung from ATT.
Samantha Benson was just named VP of Training & Development for Yakety Yak. She joined Yakety Yak in June of 2007 and now operates four Yakety Yak Wireless Express retail locations in Oklahoma. She has developed operations policies and procedures and advertising and marketing materials for multiple locations, to support growth and development of the brand throughout the state. Here's where the rubber meets the road, and Samantha's unique perspective as both a franchisee and company executive responsible for bringing her expertise to new franchisees as the Yakety system grows is exactly the hands-on discussion Jeff and Gini strive to bring onto The Franchise Show. Jeff is curious who dials the phone for Gini. . . . .
