BetterPhoto Instructor, Sean Arbabi is a commercial photographer specializing in adventure, lifestyle, nature, & travel - for advertising, corporate, & editorial clients. He has had freelance & contracted assignments with over 250 publications and 125 companies worldwide.

Sean has shot over 200 assignments for Sunset, & authored numerous feature articles displaying his photography.
In 1991, he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Commercial photography from Brooks Institute of Photography, & began his business Arbabi Imagery thereafter combining outdoor, on-location, and studio photography.
Today, he shoots in 120mm medium format & 35mm, film & digital, & brings a background of on-location, studio, outdoor, and lighting skills & experience to every job. His stock image files, currently 300,000 strong, have been published in advertisements, books, brochures, magazines, newspapers, trade shows, & websites around the world.
Over the years, he has backpacked over mountain ranges, helicoptered above jungles, ridden horseback across plains and mountains, rafted down rivers, mountain biked along forest trails, sailed on oceans, & hung over cliffs, all to capture images he and his clients were in search of. Photography is his passion.
In recent years, Arbabi's travels jobs took him around California, to the Caribbean, Florida, Montana, Mexico, New Mexico, the US Virgin Islands, & Wyoming. Recently, he has landed two travel guidebook covers, a pair of magazine covers, a catalog cover, wrote & shot four feature articles, all the while working on a tv pilot about photography entitled Photoguru. He is also writing a 300-page book entitled "Exposures A to Z", due to appear on the shelves in the fall of 2007.
