Meyer is the Oregon State Coordinator for the National Family Caregivers
Association, and an advocate of social causes. As an award-winning author
and publisher, she works for institutional advancement of nonprofit organizations,
ranging from homeless shelters to botanical gardens. When her father-in-law
suffered a stroke in 1993, the experience led her to found CareTrust Publications,
and to co-author “The Comfort of Home: An Illustrated Step-by-Step Guide
for Caregivers”.

6 Kathy and Gary Young are a widow and widower who found each other after the death of their spouses, and became support group leaders for people with illness and death issues. Gary’s plays have been performed at the Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, and the White House. He’s worked with the National Very Special Arts Festival, and he’s Executive Director of the Lifetime Achievement Foundation. Kathy Young has written children's books and worked with children in Afghanistan and Indonesia.
