She is an occupational therapist and social worker, with 25+ years of experience working in adult rehabilitation, home health, education, marketing, seating and positioning, and developing programming to help unpaid family and friends who assist seniors. She is also the Chair of the Home and Community Health Special Interest Section for the American Occupational Therapy Association.

5 Paul Kleyman is Editor of Aging Today, the newspaper of the American Society on Aging. He is also the cofounder and national coordinator of the Journalists Exchange on Aging and edits its newsletters, Age Beat and Age Beat Online. His 1974 book, "Senior Power: Growing Old Rebelliously," was among the earliest books on the contemporary politics of aging. In 2002 he testified before the Senate Special Committee on Aging on ageism in the media. He discusses the upcoming ASA conference in San Francisco. |

She served as Director of Aging for the State of Michigan and served as a member of the Governor’s cabinet. She’s been the Director of Research and Policy for the White House Conference of Aging; Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary for Human Services Legislation at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services; Staff Assistant to the U.S. House Ways and Means Subcommittee on Social Security.
