SPORTS ILLUSTRATED COLUMNIST GUESTS ON THIS WEEK’S “GOLFING AROUND THE WORLD TODAY”

RICK REILLY KNOWN FOR HIS FUNNY STORIES ABOUT THE GAME OF GOLF

SAN DIEGO, CA (June 10, 2003) — Sports Illustrated Senior Writer Rick Reilly brings his rants, raves and tales of misadventures about the game of golf to the Internet Radio Show “Golfing Around the World Today” Monday, June 16, 2003, from 8 – 9 PM (EDT), 5 – 6 PM (PDT), on www.wsRadio.com with hosts Charlie Jones, longtime sports announcer and best-selling author of “Be the Ball” and “What Makes Winners Win,” Tom Addis, former PGA President and PGA Golf Professional of the Year, and Jack Woods, nationally known radio personality and golf fanatic.

Count on Rick Reilly to be at his funniest and most entertaining as he describes what it’s like to caddy for some of golf’s most illustrious players including Jack Nicklaus and David Duval– especially since he had never caddied before! Rick describes his experiences in detail in his newest book “Who’s Your Caddy?” which along with his other best selling books “The Life of Reilly”, the classic golf novel “Missing Links” and his weekly back page column in Sports Illustrated (the first such signed weekly opinion column in the magazine's history) shows why he is the funniest and most popular sports writer in America. Rick is in his 19th year of writing for Sports Illustrated and has been voted National Sportswriter of the Year eight times.

About the hosts of “Golfing Around the World Today”:

Charlie Jones, an Emmy award winner and recipient of Pro Football Hall of Fame's distinguished Pete Rozelle Radio-Television Award, has been in broadcasting for over 40 years. During that time, he has provided his expert commentary for over 28 sports, from professional football and golf to the Olympics to college football. Charlie is also a best selling author and, with co-author Kim Doren, explored the mental side of the game of golf in “Be the Ball” – in searching for the connection between the mind and the golf swing, they interviewed over one hundred golfers as well as psychologists.

Tom Addis has spent over 30 years in the world of golf including being named the PGA Golf Professional of the Year and two terms as President of the PGA. As the consummate golf professional, Tom has worked to improve the game and its reach into the community. He has won many golfing awards and currently divides his time between the business of golf as the owner and president of Medallion Golf, Inc., and youth in golf from the Special Olympics to Junior Golf.

Jack Woods is a nationally syndicated radio personality with stints at NBC New York and broadcast ownership. As half of the fabled “Charlie and Harrigan” broadcast comedy team, he could be heard from Anchorage, Alaska, to West Palm Beach, Florida.
